Will Wallmate safely hold the weight of my tablet?
Answer: When mounted to appropriate surfaces according to the instructions, Wallmate is rated to hold greater than 5 lbs (2.26kg).
What if I want to move my mounting sockets and I have already used my spare Command Strips?
Answer: We have refill Command™ Strips in our store that can be purchased in packs of 4.
I lost my adapter that slides on for smaller tablets and smartphones, how can I get a replacement?
Answer: The Universal Holder adapter is available in our online store and can be purchased separately.
Do you offer Wallmate in other colors?
Answer: At this time, Wallmate is only available in black. Other colors may be offered in the future.
How do I remove the mounting socket? I cannot access the pull tab for the Command Strip.
Answer: Simply get a piece of dental floss and slide it back and forth while pulling it through the foam adhesive, cutting it away as you go.
To what surfaces will Command™ strips stick?
Answer: Painted, stained or varnished wood, glass, tile, painted cinder block, plaster, metal, and wallboard.
Will Command™ strips stick to brick?
Answer: No. Command™ strips are intended for mostly smooth surfaces such as those listed above. However, they will stick to painted, smooth cinder block.
Can I use Command™ strips on fresh paint?
Answer: Paint should be fully cured (check paint can for manufacturer's cure time) before using Command strips. We recommend waiting a week. Please note that cleaning with alcohol may remove or dull the surface of fresh paint.
Can I use Command™ strips on wallpaper?
Answer: No.
Can I use Command™ strips on glass windows?
Answer:You can use Command™ strips if the glass is not exposed to direct sunlight or flooded with water. For example: Do not use inside or outside on south- or west-facing windows.
Can I use Command™ strips on my car windows?
Answer: No. These products are not for use on the inside or outside of automobile windows due to weather extremes.
Can I use Command™ strips outside in cold climates?
Answer: You can, but the adhesive should be applied to a clean, smooth, dry surface when the temperature is above 50°F (10°C). If the temperature is below 50°F, you can heat the surface with a hair dryer before application.
Can I use Command™ strips outside in hot climates?
Answer: Extreme heat conditions and sunlight may cause the adhesive to eventually deteriorate, causing product failure. The adhesive could soften and lose adhesion above 105°F (40°C).
